Thanks for taking a moment to learn about our shop. M & P Auto Repair & Smog Check has served the Long Beach community for more than 21 years. Our smog technicians average 27+ years of hands-on experience, and we're proud to be a State of California licensed STAR certified smog station.
We started M & P because we believe a smog check shouldn't feel like a sales pitch. Most cars don't need a repair to pass — they just need a fair, accurate test. When a car does need work, we'll show you what's going on, explain why, and give you an honest estimate before we touch a tool.

Who we serve
We're located on Orange Ave in Long Beach, close to the 405, 710 and 91 freeways. Many of our customers come from Long Beach, Signal Hill, Carson, Lakewood, Wilmington, Compton, and Paramount. If you can get to Orange Ave, you can be back on your way in under half an hour.
We test light-duty cars, SUVs, vans and pickups up to 14,000 lbs GVWR. Diesel vehicles 1998 and newer are welcome. We don't currently service heavy commercial trucks or motorcycles.
Why "M & P"?
M & P stands for the founders' first initials — and the truth is, this is still a family operation. The owners know most of their regular customers by name. When you call, you're talking to a person at the shop, not a call center.
